Hey there, my amazing readers. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU! I am so excited and very happy. I love Christmas so very much as I have said it 100 times before on this blog. People who know me personally know just how Christmas crazy I get around this season. I have said it before, and I am saying it again. I love the spirit that comes with it. The giving, the love that gets spread around and just every damn thing about it. Whether you have a white Christmas or a good ol’ regular sunny day. It is always a very lovely season. Christmas is also not just about the one day. It is about all the days leading up to it. The joy and energy. As a matter of fact, I happen to enjoy all the days before the 25th and then on the 25th I get a little sad because I know its over. I have to wait another year again to celebrate Christmas.
When I was in college (university) I used to start with the Christmas spirit in July. I remember my friends would make fun of me for that (in a good way, they are very lovely). I would start slow. I would watch Home Alone in July and then re-watch it in December. It was tradition. Once November starts rolling in, I’m listening to Christmas carols. All you would hear from my room is Michael Bublé and old school carols. This year however I have been quite busy, so I haven’t had as much time to indulge in all the Christmas joy. I have however kept my traditions alive. I am not planning to abandon those anytime soon. I wonder if my kid(s) will love Christmas just like mum or hate it because of mum 😂. Anyways these are the things we think about as we adult.
I hope you guys are having a good day and if your day is nothing to write home about. Don’t worry it doesn’t have to be. It’s the thought behind Christmas that counts. Sharing love, giving, going the extra mile for someone who can’t necessarily pay you back. That is what Christmas is all about. So, if your day today is not that fancy don’t sweat it. As long as you did some of the things, I listed above then you have had a better fulfilling Christmas than most of us. Especially with the year we have all had. I would really love to encourage you guys to spread some extra love and I am hoping you have been doing so.
Let’s all work together to be the reason someone didn’t give up. The reason someone didn’t feel alone and the reason someone felt loved and valued. Remember there is no angel coming from heaven to be of help to someone. You are the angel someone is praying for. So, go out there and be the angel someone needs. As I am writing this part, I am getting quite sentimental and remembering the old Christmas card song hahaha. I think it’s even more sentimental because thinking of how this year has been. Getting this far is truly a blessing and an achievement for something we don’t really deserve. We are not better than the ones who left us and passed on, but we are blessed to be here and see this day. Whatever force you believe in, be grateful for that. I hope you guys enjoyed today’s blog post. I tried to keep short because I understand it can be a busy day for others. Merry Christmas everybody!!! I love and appreciate you guys loooottttssssss!!!
